ATX II Tecnologias de Software SA Print

ATX II Tecnologias de Software SA is a Portuguese SME in Information Technologies with a profile recognised internationally for its technological innovation.

One of ATX major assets is ASIA, a toolset for factory-based development based on repositories, model-based code generation, and re-engineering of legacy components into component-based architectures. Using ASIA, ATX designed and implemented an integration architecture for one of the major Portuguese banks (Banco Espirito Santo (BES)) which supports the whole spectrum of wire-based channels (Internet, ITV, ATMs, etc.) as well as a wireless WAP channel.

Building on its expertise on reengineering of legacy applications and correct code generation from high-level specifications, together with the ability to target specific architectures and support an architecture-driven evolution of systems, ATX has just signed a contract with Microsoft for automatic migration of Oracle-based applications to .NET platforms.

ATX has a recognised experience in the domain of financial systems, which is well demonstrated by the systems it put in place at BES as well as the contract signed a year ago with the biggest financial Portuguese group, Caixa Geral de Depositos, for automatic quality certification of code. ATX technological offer is based on sound and mathematically grounded principles jointly developed with national and international research groups both through direct contracts and externally funded projects, currently the Marie-Curie Leg2Net (From Legacy Systems to Services in the Net), and the AGILE (Architectures for Mobility).

Main contributions of ATX to SENSORIA are in the areas of Web engineering and Web services, software architecture and modelling, reverse engineering, industrial software development, and in the finance application domain.
