The Institute of Informatics of Warsaw University (UWARSAW) currently has about 40 faculty positions and ca. 50 Ph.D. students enrolled for its Ph.D. programme. Research carried out at the institute covers many diverse areas of computer science. The institute has been involved in a considerable number of research projects, within both national and international research programmes.

Main contributions of Warsaw University to SENSORIA are in the areas of formal specification and refinement, and logics for distribution and mobility.
